The World Green Building Council

Roofkrete is a Full Member of the UK Green Building Council. The UK Green Building Council is part of a Global network of GBC’s collectively known as ‘THE WORLD GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL’.

The World GBC supports National Green Building Councils whose common mission is to create a sustainable built environment through Market transformation.

Millennium Products status

The initiative was launched by ‘the then’ Prime Minister Tony Blair, with businesses and other organisations invited to submit products and services for judging by a panel drawn from design, business, science and the arts.

To attain Millennium Products status, products and services had to:

• Open up new opportunities
• Challenge existing conventions
• Be environmentally responsible
• Demonstrate the application of new or existing technology
• Solve a key problem
• Show clear user benefits.
