100+ of Maintenance Free Life - True Value for Money!

The legislative drive towards sustainable construction in both new build and refurbishment necessitates the need for a changing view in the way buildings are designed, both to cope with the extremes of weather expected over the lifecycle of the building, and to ensure that energy is conserved by extending the life of the product and minimising the maintenance requirements. - All Krete Systems maximise these initiatives by providing a system which has been tested to provide a working life in excess of 100 years and be maintenance free during this period.

Although all Krete Systems have been tested to provide a working life in excess of 100 years, insurance companies are not used to building products lasting for the life of the building. The maximum insurance backed guarantee available is 20 years. - We provide this insurance backed maximum plus an additional company backed 10 years giving a 30 year warranty.

RoofKrete is a well established company which has been trading for over 20 years and its patented product is unique in the waterproofing world both for flat roofs and walls. Primarily operating in and around the Devon area, it was largely run as a ‘lifestyle business’ until 2010 when the business was relaunched nationally as Krete Sustain Systems Ltd.

It is a system which is now ‘coming of age’ as the sustainable initiatives being implemented are beginning to catch up with the technology already invented and present in the Krete Systems. - The growing drive for green and sustainable credentials across all aspects of design, delivery and maintenance helps ensure the time is right for taking this award winning system into the broader marketplace.

The Code for Sustainable Homes for new build is shortly to be followed by a similar code for dealing sensitively with refurbishment, Mike Mapston recently coined the phrase ‘Modern Methods of Refurbishment’ (MMR) in a recently published article in Local Authority News which discusses the need for ‘Thin Solutions’ for refurbishing existing buildings especially those in the H & T category. (Hard to heat and hard to treat) where RoofKrete and WallKrete provide unique solutions to the escalating problem as over 5,000,000 homes are said to be in this category.
