Technical Information

This Technical Section provides an overview of the various ‘Krete’ systems showing details to a level which will enable Architects, Builders and Specifiers to understand the principles related to the detailing, and understand the unique properties which this product has compared to all other flat roofing systems.

As with all systems, details will vary depending upon the nuances of the particular application it is intended to be installed on. It can be installed on new or existing buildings and with such a wide range of applications, a ‘one detail suits all’ is not desirable. - So please contact us and we will be happy to advise on design or application!

RoofKrete in all its applications is identical in its makeup and application, the only difference between the system types is the nominal thickness for the particular application.

Krete System 4 - 3 layers of reinforcement plus Krete - 5/6mm approx [Typical for Flat Roofs]
Krete System 5 - 4 layers of reinforcement plus Krete - 8mm approx [Typical for Terraces, Balconies & Green Roofs]
Krete System 6 - 5 layers of reinforcement plus Krete - 10mm approx [Typical for Trafficable Areas]

A mixture of the above systems can be used to specifically solve particular problems either for heavily trafficked roofs, walkways or car parks, swimming pools, water storage tanks, or basement applications.
